Frequently asked questions
What age are ProtoPlot3D toys suitable for?
Our items designated as toys are intended for children aged 3 years and over (36 months). Always follow the warning on the product page. Warning: Small parts. Not suitable for children under 36 months.
What does CE mean for toys?
CE marking is a manufacturer's declaration of conformity with applicable EU requirements, not an independent quality award. ProtoPlot3D keeps conformity and risk-assessment documentation for its toys. Product marking and safety information are supplied on the product or its packaging.
What do EN 71-1 and EN 71-3 refer to?
EN 71 is a series of toy safety standards. EN 71-1 concerns mechanical and physical properties. EN 71-3 concerns the migration of certain elements from toy materials. Relevant tests and supporting documentation are recorded for assessed models and materials. Not every individual model necessarily has a separate test report.
Where are the figures made?
Our figures are manufactured in our workshop in Oetwil am See, Switzerland, where we can oversee their design and production.
Which materials are used?
Depending on the model, we use selected PLA or PLA+ filaments and appropriate colour variants. Relevant EN 71-3 material evidence is available. Fine 3D-print layer lines and slight colour variations may be visible.
How should the figures be cleaned?
Wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth. Do not put the figures in a dishwasher; protect them from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
Can customised orders be returned?
Non-personalised items have a 15-day return policy after receipt. Personalised items and products made to individual customer specifications are excluded. Statutory rights concerning defective goods remain unaffected. See shipping and returns.
